An unplanned shutdown of the Ethylene recovery unit at the Qenos Olefins plant at 6 pm yesterday evening required flare use since that time. The flare rate was initially large and reduced as the evening progressed. The Ethylene recovery unit is being returned to normal production and will require some continued lower level flaring until fully operational late this evening. The flares operation is being managed to minimise impact on our neighbours.
