Qenos has undertaken a routine replacement of catalyst in its SCAL-1 plant Converters over the past few weeks.

The commissioning of the new catalyst takes several days and is planned to run from Tuesday 26 February to Friday 1 March - a moderate level of flaring will be required over this time.

The  flare operation during the commissioning will be managed to minimise any Community impact.

Flares are used to safely burn waste gases which cannot be recovered or recycled in the processing plants.
